Maliki receives Iranian Minister of Justice in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed that “Iraq has a good experience in the field of the independence of the judicial system and separation from the executive and legislative authorities.”

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki received the Iranian Minister of Justice, Murtadha Bakhtiyari, at his office in Baghdad on Thursday with the attendance of the Iraqi Minister of Justice, Hasan al-Shimmari.”

“Maliki confirmed the necessity of exchanging the detainees and enhancing the legal experiences of the two countries,” the statement concluded.
