Suicide bombing reverberates in central Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) “Two civilians were injured when a suicide bomber driving a car bomb detonated his car bomb in Basha Street of Central Tikrit City, the Center of Salah-il-Din province on Thursday,” security source reported to IraqiNews.com.

“Police forces, through intelligence tips, realized location of the suicide bomber and started chasing him but he detonated his explosives to be killed immediately,” the source added, noting that “The explosion also resulted in injuring two civilians who were accidently passing through the area and caused material damage to nearby buildings and vehicles.”

“Police patrols transported the injuries to the hospital for treatment and blocked the roads leading to the explosion site in addition to starting investigation over the incident,” the source concluded.
