Kurdish Economist criticizes investments in Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Kurdish Economist described the investment sector as “a Ghoul which swallows the lands of Kurdistan Region for the favor of certain sides in the Region.” The Economist said to al-Ofuq al-Jadeed Newspaper “The Investment sector is a vital economic process that enhances the construction movement and provides good jobs if it comes within the legal and legislative frameworks in order not to be like a Ghoul,” stressing that “This is what happen in the Kurdistan Region where the investment is limited to specific speculative party which earns large sums of money and dominates vast tracts of land that damaged the Kurds’ interests.” “The overlapping of the interests of governmental officials and politicians make the investment sector a hotbed of financial and administrative corruption like the rest major economic sectors in the Region,” The Economist added.
