Hakim, Khamenei discuss developments of political process in Iraq
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, discussed “The developments of the political process in Iraq and the results of the Islamic revolutions all over the Arab countries.”
A statement by the SIIC received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “Hakim met Khamenei in Tehran as they reviewed Iraq’s leading role in the region after hosting the Arab Summit in Baghdad.”
“Both sides discussed the regional and international updates and the prominent position of the Islamic parties during the recent period after the Arab Spring,” the statement added.
Hakim arrived at Iran two days ago during which he held meetings with Iranian officials.
