Terrorist killed in Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A force from Anti-Terrorism Department in Anbar province succeeded to kill a terrorist who was trying to attacking the security forces while conducting a raid-search operation in Tharthar area in Anbar province.

A statement by the Interior Ministry cited Thursday “While a force from the ATD was conducting a raid-search operation in Tharthar area to look for a terrorist who stores bombs, the terrorist opened fire from an AK-47 machine-gun but the force replied on the source of fire, killing the terrorist.”

The operation resulted in injuring two officers and caused material damage to a vehicle of the force, the statement added.

The operation was based on tips provided by a detainee who was arrested in Anbar province earlier, the statement concluded.
