MP expects UNSC to agree upon extending UNAMI’s term 1 more year

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the parliament Foreign Relations Committee MP, Imad Yaqoo, expected “The UN Security Council to agree upon extending the term of the UNAMI in Iraq for one more year.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The performance of UNAMI was characterized by neutrality,” noting that “Iraq is still in need for UNAMI’s support.”

“According to the diplomatic and the political figures’ views we need UNAMI’s experience in many aspects,” he added.

“During the former years, UNAMI did not interfere in the Iraqi internal affairs,” he concluded.
