Shihristani calls Ministry of Oil to start erecting Karbala Oil Refinery

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussien al-Shihristani, called “The Ministry of Oil to start erecting the Oil Refinery of Karbala province.”

A statement by Shihristani’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Shihristani received the Oil Minister, Abdul Kareem Laeebi, and the Deputy Minister for Oil Refinery Affairs in addition to a number of specialized cadres within the Ministry and discussed with them the situation of the refineries in the country.”

“Shihristani calls the Ministry to speed up to invite the foreign companies to present the their proposals for the primary stages of this project and to nominate an advisory team to supervise the project,” the statement concluded.
