Mashkour urges to grant more authorities for provinces

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohamed al-Mashkour, of the Citizen bloc stressed “The importance of transferring a part of Ministries’ authorities to the provinces.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Tuesday over the meeting held in Wassit province for the Provincial Councils “The PCs hold meetings from time to time calling for more authorities due to the impediments that hurdle the infrastructure projects in the provinces.”

“The Iraqi Constitution granted the Federal Regime and the decentralized system,” he added.

“Provinces must be granted more authorities concerning punishing the dilatory companies,” he confirmed, stressing that “This will help improving the situations in the provinces.”

Earlier, the Provincial Councils launched a conference in Wassit province on last Sunday that resulted in calling for granting more authorities for the provinces.
