Halfaiya oil field in Maysan province rehabilitated

Maysan (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Oil inaugurated Halfaiya oil field in Maysan province after being rehabilitated by the Chinese “Petro China Company” and the combined companies within a licenses oil round. IraqiNews.com correspondent reported that “The Oil Ministry inaugurated Halfaiya oil field in a ceremony attended by the Minister Abdul Karim La’ibi and other officials in Maysan, after rehabilitating the field by Petro China Co. within the second oil licenses.” It is worth to mention that the oil reserves in Halfaiya oil field reach 16 billion barrels and it is one of the largest oil fields in the south of Iraq.
