Shahristani: Legal cases issued against Wasit PC’s members cancled

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Oil asked “The Criminal Court in Wassit province to cancel the legal cases issued against members in Wassit provincial Council.” A statement by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, said “We demanded Wassit Criminal Court to stop the legal procedures against some members in Wassit PC over their offending the employees of Ahdab Oil Field in the province earlier after they apologized to the MoO.” It is said that the Wassit Provincial Council called on Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to intervene to end the issue of lawsuit filed against the Provincial Council over Ahdab oil field.
