DIP delegation visits Iran

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A delegation represents the political bureau of the Dawa Islamic Party, which is headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, visited Iran and discussed upgrading relations with the key officials in Iran.

A statement by the political bureau of the DIP cited “The official visit aims at developing mutual relations between the two countries.”

“The delegation met a number of key officials including the head of the Shura Council, Ali Larijani, and the head of the National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, in addition to the Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salihi, separately,” the statement added.

“The meetings tackled the regional and international updates,” the statement mentioned.

“The delegation visited the religious authorities and some Islamic Scholars in Qum city,” the statement concluded.
