Nijad congratulates Talabani for successful surgery

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated the Iraqi President Jalal Talabani for the success of the surgery he underwent last June.

Presidential statement received by Iraqi News on Thursday “Talabani received a phone call from the Iranian President on Wednesday evening.”

“Ahmadinejad wished Talabani speedy recovery and return to Iraq,” the statement added.

“Talabani expressed his appreciation for the Iranian counterpart for his call and his congratulations,” according to the statement which mentioned “Talabani wished more progress for the mutual relations between Iraq and Iran.”
