Nusayif calls to set law drafts criminalize smuggling oil

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the Iraqiya Hurra bloc, called the Legislative Authority to set law drafts that criminalize smuggling oil.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday, she said “The Punishments Law discussed the issue of smuggling the oil in general, since this issue is famous nowadays,” noting that “The general law drafts must not be followed but there should be clear law drafts that criminalize smuggling the oil and show the punishments of such issue.”

“It is necessary to set clear law drafts to criminalize smuggling the oil where the international deals criminalized this issue, but they did not set the punishments and left it to the internal laws of the countries,” she concluded.
