Alwani criticizes government stance over not allowing Syrians to enter Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate criticized the stance of the government over not allowing the Syrian refugees to enter Iraq, describing it as “A disgraceful stance.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday, he said “The Syrian people and tribes have honorable and heroic stances with the Iraqi people when the security situation was unstable in Iraq, so, we have to pay them back and support them in addition to the tribal relations between the Iraqi tribes in Anbar and Syrian ones that request us to support them.”

He stressed the necessity of “increasing the efforts of the local government of Anbar province to receive the Syrian people who have entered the Iraqi borders.’

He also called the government to “Change its stances over the situation in Syria and allow the Syrian refugees to enter Iraq in addition to providing the suitable living materials for them as guests in Iraq.”
