Premier holds meeting to address water shortage

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Ministers Nouri al-Maliki stressed the necessity to find solutions to the water scarcity and develop a public policy to reduce the shortfall in water, calling to bring on foreign experts to address this problem.

According to press statement ”The Premier headed a meeting for the Supreme Commission of Agricultural Initiative attended by the Agriculture Minister and the Water Resources Minister as well as the Head of Advisors Commission.”

The statement added that ”The meeting resulted in forming a committee which will include the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Water Resources as well as the Advisors Commission in order to pick a company capable to reduce water scarcity.”
