Next week to witness meeting between Talabani, Maliki, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The State of Law Coalition’s MP, Abdul Salam al-Maliki, announced that “Next week will witness holding a meeting between the President, Jalal Talabani, and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “After his return to Baghdad, Talabani is expected to meet Maliki next week,” noting that “The meeting will tackle two sides, first is the reforms proposal presented by Talabani that is involved within the Reforms Project of the Iraqi National Alliance while the second is holding meeting between INA and the sides of the opposition.”

“INA’s meeting with the opposition is expected to result in reaching agreement to be followed by a meeting with the President, Jalal Talabani, to appoint a date for holding the national meeting to settle all the disputes,” he added.

“The Political Reforms Proposal is submitted to the concerned sides which welcomed it because it was comprehensive to all the disputes,” he mentioned.

“The proposal included settling the issue of the security ministries and all the pending issues between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government,” he emphasized.

“The disputes will be easily settled through the accords,” he concluded.
