Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Peshmerga Ministry in Kurdistan Regional Government denied the news about “concluding a secret deal with foreign countries to buy weapons for Peshmerga forces without informing the Federal Government.” The Ministry’s Spokesperson Jabbar Yawar said in a statement published by the Office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Kurdistan Region did not conclude any deal with any foreign country to buy weapons and it cannot buy weapons in any way since Iraq is surrounded by Iran, Turkey and Syria which do not allow passing any kind of weapons through its lands.” “These rumors are mere fabricated lies intended to disturb the relations between the Region and the Central Government especially they coincide with the crisis between the Kurdistan RegionG and Baghdad Government,” he added.
