Asadi confirms Maliki’s attendance to Iftar banquet at Jaafary’s residence

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hussein al-Asadi, of the State of Law Coalition, confirmed that “The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, will attend the Iftar banquet called for by the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary on Tuesday.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Maliki will attend the Iftar banquet at Jaafary’s residence,” noting that “It will also be good atmosphere to discuss the political issues and the reforms proposal.”

“The meeting will contribute in settling the political crisis and create good atmosphere to conduct dialogue,” he added.

Earlier, MP, Suzan al-Saad, of the INA stated that Jaafary invited all the heads of the political blocs to attend the Iftar banquet at his residence, expecting that Maliki and the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to attend it.
