Urgent – 2 Suicide bombers besieged inside Anti-Terrorism Department

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Interior announced that “Two suicide bombers are surrounded inside the building of the Anti-Terrorism Department in central Baghdad.”

The official Iraqiya satellite channel quoted the Interior Ministry Undersecretary Adnan al-Asadi as saying “The security bodies managed to surround two suicide bombers wearing explosive vests and killed the third terrorist inside the building of Anti-Terrorism Department.”

He added that ”The security bodies foiled an escape operation for prisoners during surrounding the suicide bombers,” noting that “Some of the prisoners who were trying to escape are leaders of terrorist organizations.”

Earlier, security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Tuesday that ”The security bodies are searching for two suicide bombers wearing explosives vests inside the Anti-Terrorism Department.”

Two car bombs exploded near the Police Patrol Department and Wassiti Hospital resulted in killing and injuring (39) persons. \
