 Shahristani, Greek Co. discuss implementing Shat al-Basra electricity project

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs Hussein al-Shahristani discussed with the Head of Metka Greek Company, John Matelinius, the implementation of electricity power station of Shat al-Basra.

A statement by Shahristani’s Office cited “Shahristani urged during the meeting the Company to assume suitable immediate procedures to avoid delay in implementing this project with a capacity of 1250 MW.”

For his part, The Head of Metka Co. promised to conduct the required prompt measures to accelerate the completion of the project as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by the Greek Ambassador in Iraq Mirkorius Karavothias.
