Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Rapporteur of the Parliament MP, Mohamed al-Khalidi of the Iraqiya Slate, stated that “The visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu to Kirkuk province aims at opening doors in front of the Turkish businessmen to enter the local markets in order to activate the investment process in the province.

Khalidi criticized in a statement “The concerns from this visit and the media escalation against it,” noting that “It’s a normal and official visit that were coordinated with the administration of Kirkuk and after getting the visa from the Iraqi Government.”

The visit of the Davutoglu, on last Wednesday and Thursday to Erbil, Kirkuk has provoked some political blocs and the Iraqi government, which sent a memorandum of protest to the Turkish Government delivered by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Turkish charge d’affaires, who was summoned by the Iraqi FM to inform him of the protest.
