Maliki dismiss officers on background of attack against Anti-Terrorism Dept

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Commander General of the Armed Forces, Nouri al-Maliki, decided to dismiss “The officers who were held negligent in their performance at the background of the terrorist attack which targeted the Anti-Terrorism Department.”

A statement by the PM Maliki cited “Maliki ordered to dismiss the officers responsible for protecting the Anti-Terrorism Department for their bad performance and negligence that resulted in a great security breach through detonating this vital utility and bring them to justice.”

Earlier, the senior Deputy Minister of the Interior Ministry, Adnan al-Asadi, assured in a statement issued after he inspected the incident scene, on last Friday that “He instructed to launch an exhaustive investigation to interrogate and punish the negligent,” describing the terrorist assault on the building of the Anti-Terrorism Department and Orchestrated Crime as a “failed step”.
