Strict security measures in Anbar

Anbar, Ramadi (IraqiNews.com) The security forces imposed strict security measures in all over Anbar province on the background of information concerning armed groups intend to implement terrorist operations in Anbar province.

The Commander of Anbar Police Department, Major-General Hadi Rezayij, reported in a statement to IraqiNews.com on Thursday that ”The police and other security forces conducted strict security measures to provide protection for markets, parks and public palaces on the background of information recieved armed groups’ intention to target civilians through implementing armed operations.”

The Commander pointed out that ”The security measures include deploying the security forces at the entrances and exits of the city as well as the main roads and sub roads,” adding that ”We ask citizens to cooperate with the security forces to protect their families from the armed gangs.”

The security forces in Anbar province impose, from time to time, strict security measures due to the repeated security breaches which took place in the province.
