Araji: Political disputes lead to lack of credibility

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of al-Ahrar bloc, Baha al-Araji, linked the political disputes among the political blocs with the lack of credibility with the electors.

A delegation of al-Ahrar bloc headed by Araji and comprising MPs, Jaafar al-Mosawi, Jawad al-Shihili, Ali al-Timimi, Riyadh Ghali, Jawad al-Jobouri and Amir al-Kinani, has visited the Finance Minister, Sabir al-Esawi, where the head of the Iraqiya bloc, Salman al-Jumaili, has attended the meeting.

A press statement received by IraqiNews.com quoted Araji, as saying “Any tensions among the political blocs will negatively affect the performance of the government and providing services,” noting that “The electoral slates had political programs to serve the Iraqi citizens where the political tensions resulted in delaying them and lacked the credibility with the electors.”

“Visiting Esawi is to discuss the supplementary budget and the results of not endorsing it in addition to suspending part of the superabundant of the oil incomes to distribute them to the Iraqi people,” he added.

“Some other issues were discussed such as the Independent High Electoral Commission law draft and the Federal Court,” he concluded.
