Bazouni urges to grant provinces equal authorities to those of Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent MP within the Iraqi national Alliance, Jawad al-Bazouni, urged to grant further authorities for the local governments.

MP Bazouni of Basra province stated to Iraqi News “The Iraqi Constitution is obligatory for all sides and those terms applied on Kurdistan Region will be demanded by other provinces,” noting that “We call also to clarify the points that regulate the relations between the Central Government and the Regions or local governments especially the demands of the Kurdistan Region to invest in oil sector and armament which should be clarified according to constitution.”

“In case the Constitution proved that the Central Government has oppressed the authorities of the Kurdistan Region, all the reactions of the Region against the actions of the CG will be correct and vice-versa,” he added, stressing that “All these points should be categorized according to constitution since the rules that apply to Kurdistan Region will be applied to Basra and other Iraqi provinces.”
