Mahdi: Salih visit to Baghdad aims at preparing for Talabani’s return

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ruz Mahdi, of the Kurdistani Alliance ruled out that “The visit of the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih, comes to end the crisis between the Federal Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “I think that Salih’s visit comes to prepare for the return of the President, Jalal Talabani, to Baghdad to conduct a new session of negotiations.”

“Salih does not have the authority to represent Kurdistan RegionG,” he concluded.

Earlier, the former Prime Minister, of Kurdistani Regional Government and the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.
