SLC MP: Tensions between central government, Kurdistan Region to be settled soon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP< Salman al-Mousawi, of the State of Law Coalition stated “The relations between the central government and Kurdistan Region will be good after witnessing some tensions.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday, he said “The tensions between the central government and Kurdistan Region were for some reasons such as the investment of oil and the disputed upon areas in addition to some other issues.”

He called the Government of Kurdistan Region “To show flexibility to settle the current crisis because Kurdistan Region is a part of Iraq and we wish it to have a good economical relation but by Iraq only.”

“The government aims to settle all the pending issues according to the constitution that granted the rights of all the Iraqi people including the Kurds,” he concluded.

Informed sources stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Sunday “Salih will meet the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, and some key officials to discuss the current crisis between Kurdistan Region and the central government.”

The sources expected that “Salih to have a Kurdish initiative from the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to settle the crisis.”
