Saad demands to grant Petro-Dollar allocations for Babel

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, Suzan al-Saad, announced that the Ministry of Oil approved to include Babel province in the Petro-Dollar allocations, starting from current August.

Saad cited in a statement on Wednesday “We demanded earlier, the Presidency of Cabinet and MoO to include Musaiyb refinery associated with Electricity Ministry, in the allocations of Petro-dollar as it provides Middle Euphrates provinces and MoO by production that reaches up to 40,000 barrel per day.”

“These allocations will participate in reviving the public situations in the province and enable it to implement the vital services projects since Babel province lacks economic resources that would support the economic situation in the province,” she added.

Petrodollar law grants the province one dollar for each barrel produced in the province in addition to the produced gas it came as a compensation for the oil producing provinces due to the damages caused to the provinces by mining operations.
