Shahrestani invites Indonesia to invest in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Government invited the Indonesian companies to invest in Iraq, particularly in phosphate fertilizer industry, confirming Iraqi readiness to supply Indonesia with crude oil.

The Media Office of the Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs Hussein al-Shahrestani issued a statement to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday which cited ”Shahrestani held a meeting with the Indonesian Defense Minister Shevry Shams al-Din and the Indonesian Ambassador to Iraq Sevzen Nour al-Din and they discussed the means to promote the mutual relations between the two countries.”

The statement continued saying that ”The two sides discussed the means to promote the joint relations especially in the field of training the Iraqi troops and the military equipment as well as energy sector.”

The statement pointed out that ”The Deputy Premier expressed the desire of Iraq to encourage the religious tourism between Iraq and Indonesia.”
