Ministry of Environment monitors environmental violations in Babel

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Environment called the local Government in Babel province to take the legal measures against a number of violations practiced by some violators against the environmental laws in the agricultural and industrial activities when the inspection commissions have monitored these environmental violations all over the province.

A statement by the Ministry quoted the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Amir Ali Hasoun, as saying “The inspection departments associated to Babel Environment monitored several environmental violations for a number of activities in the province where warning letters were issued to some shops and factories.”

Hasoun stressed that “Babel Environment Department coordinated with the MoE to launch educational courses to be conducted in the poor neighborhoods in particular to teach them about the environmental pollution and humans’ role in protecting the environment from pollution.”
