Shawees confirms success of his visit to Iran

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Premier for the Economic Affairs, Ruz Nouri Shawees, confirmed the success of his visit to Iran.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The visit succeeded according to all norms because there were concluded agreements between the two sides yet there are not implemented.”

“Our negotiations focused on activating the concluded agreements and the impediments that hurdle them,” he added.

“These agreements covered the industrial, agricultural and commercial aspects,” he stressed.

“We did not tackle the issue of the mutual rivers because the delegation did not involve the specialized sides,” he mentioned.

“The Iranian side expressed its readiness to conclude new agreements to ensure justice in sharing the water of the mutual rivers,” he concluded.

Earlier, Shawees left to Iran in an official visit on Tuesday.

The reporter of IraqiNews.com stated “Shawees headed a Ministerial delegation involved Ministers of Electricity, Industry, Trade and Finance in addition to the Governor of the Iraqi Central Bank,” noting that “The negotiations with the Iranian officials will start on next Wednesday.”
