UNAMI welcomes transferring next portion of MKO to Liberty Camp

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq welcomed transferring the new portion of Mujahedeen-e-Khalq Organization to Liberty Camp in Baghdad.

A statement by UNAMI quoted the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Iraq, Martin Kobler, as saying “I welcome the desire of 400 elements of MKO to move to library Camp after Eid Al-Fitr immediately.”

“I call the Iraqi Government to deal generously with the MKO concerning their humanitarian needs,” the statement added.

“UNAMI calls the rest of Ashraf Camp residents to prepare themselves to move to Liberty Camp to complete the transfer process peacefully,” the statement concluded.
