Educational Seminar held over communication towers in Babel

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) The Department of Youth and Sport organized “An educational seminar in Babel province to discuss the effects of the communication towers, which belong to the phone companies, on health and environment.”

The representative of the Ministry in Babel province, Kmal Hussein, reported to IraqiNews.com that ”The goal of holding this seminar is to educate people and making them aware to the negative effects and risks resulted from these towers as well as how to take the preventive measures to reduce their impacts.”

He stressed that ”The Government and the concern Ministries, Ministry of Heath and Ministry of Communication, are responsible of controlling the effects of these towers at this time.”

Many countries issued laws that prohibit installing communication towers inside the cities and housing complexes because the scientific studies approved that they cause risks on health.
