Integrity Commission audit contracts of ministries

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Integrity Parliamentary Commission intends to discuss all contracts which were concluded by ministries specialty by the Ministry of Oil.

MP, Jafer al-Moussawi, the member of the Integrity Commission reported to IraqiNews.com that ”The Ministry of Oil is closed and were are not notified about what going on insideit,” pointing that ”Some ministries does not respond if the Commission send a letter or decree to them so the Minister or the General Inspector should be summoned to discuss all the files.”

Concerning some corruption cases Moussawi added that ”Some of corruption files were closed and re-opened again because it did not result in any resolutions despite of the decision of the Integrity Commission over them and other files are still need investigation procedures.”

The Integrity Commission attributed the delay in issuing its verdicts concerning corruption files for the need to intensely auditing procedures to approve the charges or to drop them.
