Othman criticizes Shihristani’s statement over reducing Kurdistan Region budget of 2013

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, described “The call of The Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussien al-Shihristani, for reducing the budget of Kurdistan Region of 2013 as political statement.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Shihristani’s statements concerning Kurdistan Region are political,” noting that “They aim at pressurizing and creating crisis with Kurdistan Region.”

“Since 20 years, there have been no general census in Iraq and in Kurdistan Region since 25 years so no one has the right to determine financial budget of Kurdistan Region,” he concluded.

Earlier, Shihristani called to reduce the share of Kurdistan Region from the general budget of 2013 to 13%.
