Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance criticized the call of the Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussein Hahristani, concerning reducing the share of Kurdistan Region of the Federal budget to 13% instead of 17%, confirming that “This step does not serve the relations between Kurdistani Regional Government and the Federal Government.”

Muyed al-Tayeb, the Head of the Kurdistani bloc stated “We are accustomed to hear such ani-Kurds remarks by Shahristsani. The last remarks is to reduce the Kurdistan Region budget to 13% rather than 17% depending on unjust agreement against Kurds concluded between the UN and the former Iraqi regime to decrease the Kurdistan Region’s share from Oil-for-food Memorandum by 13%.”

“Such statements do not serve the breakthrough required between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government also do not serve the political process which is already stumbled,” he continued.

Tayeb expressed surprise at “The silence by the Iraqi National Alliance and the State of Law Coalition towards these hostile statements against Kurdistan Region, wandering whether these remarks represent the perspective of the INA or they are just personal viewpoint.”

It is worth mentioning that Shahristani has called early in the current month to specify the share of Kurdistan Region’s percentage of the general annual budget of 2013 by 13%.
