Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Accord Movement headed by, Ayad Allawi, attributed “The resignation of the Telecommunication Minister, Mohamed Allawi, who is a member in the INAM, to the marginalization of his role in the Ministry.”

A source from INAM stated to IraqiNews.com “Allawi submitted his resignation to the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, yet the latter rejected it,” noting that “According to my information, Maliki has accepted the resignation on last Sunday.”

“Marginalization of Allawi’s role and neglecting his decisions were behind his resignation which comes to avoid the responsibility of the wrong decisions which are issued by other sides within the Ministry,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Ministry of Telecommunications denied “The reports over submitting Allawi’s resignation to the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

A statement by the Ministry stressed that “These reports mentioned by the media outlets in this regard are groundless.”

“The Ministry of Telecommunications is a technical ministry that could not be involved in the political disputes,” the statement stressed.

The spokesman of the Ministry, Sameer Ali al-Hasoun, called “The media outlets to be careful and to seek accuracy while posting their reports,” confirming that “Allawi still preserves his post to continue in his performance to serve Iraq.”

Some media outlets indicated that Allawi submitted his resignation to Maliki earlier.
