Kurdish MP describes closing office of Kurdistan Region in CoMs as "Wrong decision"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohsin al-Sadoun, of the Kurdistani Alliance describing the decision of closing the office of Kurdistan Region in Baghdad as “Wrong and in unsuitable time.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The government of Kurdistan Region has formed a negotiation committee that is different from the office of Kurdistan Region in Baghdad where its task is administrational and not political one.”

“Closing the office of Kurdistan Region is illegal,” noting that Kurdistan Region and the provinces have the right to inaugurate an offices that can coordinate between the provinces and the central government,” he added, noting that “The office facilitates many issues between the two sides.”

The office of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, has closed the office of Kurdistan Region attributing that to the lack of the legal reason for it.

The government of Kurdistan Region has called Maliki to “Re-consider his decision,” describing the decision as “Individual and has no legal base.”
