Former MP calls to expedite endorsing retirement law draft

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former MP, Alaa al-Sadoun, called the parliament to expedite amending the retirement law draft in order to show equality in the salaries of the retired employees.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday, she said “The justifications over not amending the retirement law draft will be gone with the increase of the Iraqi budget and the availability of the superabundant of the oil incomes.

She stressed on the necessity of “Having a final solution to the increased cost of the goods and the current inflation.”

“The retired employees are suffering from the less salaried and not treating them equally with the others who were included in the special law,” she concluded.
