Daini calls Government to support agricultural sector

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, Nahida al-Daini, called the Government to develop the industrial and agricultural investments because these sectors are the key elements for refreshing the Iraqi economy.

Daini said in a statement to IraqiNews.com “The Government can support the agricultural investments through allocating budget for the provinces from the budget of the Regions Promotion project to be distributed among the farmers.”

“In addition to giving them sums of money to establish grand projects adopted by the Government to help in boosting the investment sector and eliminate the unemployment rate,” she suggested.

“The farmers do not care about planting crops because the Government does not care about them,” she added confirming “Some farmers own thousands of acres but they do not reap only ten acres and leave the rest which led to spread of desertification in Iraq,” Daini concluded.
