Talabani stresses necessity of adhering to national responsibility
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, stressed the necessity of adhering to the national responsibility and setting the national benefits prior to the personal ones.
Presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday cited “Talabani received the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi, in Germany where Abdul Mahdi expressed his pleasure for the success of the surgery that was conducted for Talabani’s knee.”
“Abdul Mahdi wished Talabani to return to Iraq to start a new phase of the efforts for unifying the stances and bringing the various views closer to settle the issues that could serve the political process in Iraq,” the statement added.
“The two sides discussed the general issues and the efforts to settle the pending issues,” the statement concluded.
