Sayadi: Education Minister’s Office involved in corruption within MoE

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the parliamentary Education Committee, Kadhim al-Sayadi, revealed that “The Office of the Education Minister is the main side behind the spread of corruption in the Ministry.”

Sayadi reported in a statement to IraqiNews.com “The reason behind this spread of administrative and financial corruption within the Ministry is that all the decisions of other departments within the Ministry are limited by the siganture and approval of the Minister.”

“The Education Committee seeks to investigate the Minister of Education, Mohamed Tamim, through collecting data about the size of the manipulation, robberies and corruption files in his office,” he assured.

“Among the issues that are verified for purpose of investigations are the appointments, buildings, printing curriculum books, giving money to others outside his Ministry and using the public money for personal interests,” Sayadi stressed.
