MP accuses political sides of hindering Contracts of importing medicines

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Health and Environment Parliamentary Committee, Mohamed Iqbal, accused “Some political sides, without naming them, of hindering the contracts of importing the medicines.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The political interferences in this issue delay providing the medicines to the citizens.”

“These sides which hurdle such contacts are powerful and by doing this trying to get some contracts through corruption which is spread all over the ministries, including the Ministry of Health,” he added.

“The medical policy of Iraq has some defects and there is no perfect status in this concern,” he mentioned.

“The procedures related to importing the medicines and storing them undergo complicated bureaucratic measures imposed by the supervisory sides,” he concluded.
