Huge amount of drugs seized in Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Customs Authority seized a huge amount of drugs at Safwan border inlet in Basra province on Friday.

A statement by the Customs Commission stated to IraqiNews.com “About 37.000 pills of drugs and 16 kg of staff similar to the heroin were discovered inside a truck driven b a syrian driver.”

“The drugs were confisctaed and the Syrian driver of the truck was captured,” the statement added.

“The driver intended to smuggle these drugs to Kuwait,” the statement concluded.
