Nusayif denounces Kuwaiti media campaign targeting Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aliya Nusayif of the Iraqiya Hurra Bloc criticized the silence of the Iraqi politicians towards the violations of some Kuwaiti media on the personality of the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Today, she said in a press statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “It is regrettable and shameful to see some Iraqi politicians, among them some MP holding Kuwaiti identity, keeping silent towards the organized media attacks by the Kuwaiti media outlets against the Iraqi PM Maliki despite their knowledge that this represents a violation for the Iraqi sovereignty and the dignity of Iraqi people.”

“Among the violation is the article published by the Kuwaiti Watan Newspaper which described Maliki as a terrorist who participated in detonating the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut in 1981 in addition to other false accusations which aim to insult the Iraqi dignity,” she assured.

Nusayif stressed the importance of taking a united stance by all politicians and political leaders towards such Kuwaiti violations.
