Samarayi arrives in Cairo heading IIP delegation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the Iraqi Islamic Party, Ayad al-Samarayi, arrived in Cairo heading a delegation that involved a number of IIP political bureau members on Friday morning.

A statement by Samarayi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Samarayi and the accompanied delegation are decided to meet a number of official and public figures to discuss the means of upgrading bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt.”

“Samarayi confirmed that Iraqis greatly appreciate the great achievements accomplished through the Egyptian Revolution,” the statement added.

“Samarayi praised the success of the Egyptian President, Mohamed Mursi, in overcoming the impediments which he faced till now,” the statement assured.

“He stressed that all sides are looking for restoring Egypt’s effective role among the Arab and international community,” the statement concluded.
