Mayahi criticizes Kurds

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aziz Sharif al-Mayahi of the White bloc criticized the “Kurds’ refusal of the Federal Government’s resolution to form Dijla security forces in Karkuk.”

Mayahi said in a statement “Kirkuk is an Iraqi province and its security protection comes within the Iraqi Army duties and the Prime Minister is authorized according to the Constitution to form or move the units of the security forces.”

He stressed that “The Kurds’ demands are unconstitutional,” confirming “They are merely attempts to confuse and aggravate the situation in order to obtain political gains but this cannot be achieved in any way.”

Mayahi called “The Kurds to avoid the being national extremists and work according to the Iraqi identity within the framework of the single State rather than searching for things that revoke the political disputes instead of searching for solutions for them.”

Earlier, the Kurdistani sides refused on last Sunday meeting headed by Kurdistan Region’s President, Masoud Barzani, the decision to form Dijla Operations Comand which will assume the security file in Kirkuk, calling to cancel it.
