MP criticizes politicians’ style of defaming others

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hamza al-Kartani, of the Iraqiya Slate criticized “The behavior of some politicians of defaming the others,” noting that “This is an unacceptable behavior.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Such behavior indicates lacks neutrality and professionalism,” stressing that “The parliament did not dismiss the Mayor of Baghdad, Sabir al-Esawi, so this issue must not be exploited for defaming this figure.”

“It is necessary to deal with others with mutual respect to enhance the democratic process,” he added.

“Islam is a great religion that consolidates morality so we have to respect the others whether they are citizens or politicians,” he concluded.

Earlier, Esawi submitted his resignation to the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for reasons that he described as “Personal.”
