Political prisoners prior to 1968 covered by PPDF privileges

Babel (IraqiNews.com) The Political Prisoners and Detainees Foundation (PPDF) decided to “Include the prisoners before 1968 by the privileges of the foundation’s law.”

The Director of Babel PPDF branch, Abdul Amir al-Sherifi, stated to IraqiNews.com “The current law adopted by the Political Prisoners Foundation which was read the first reading in the Parliament includes the detainees and the prisoners before 1968,” noting that “The endorsement of this amendment of the law will be achieved during the current legislative term after gaining the approval of the Parliament.”

“The amended law gives the political prisoners and the detained people the right to promote their files to get their rights according to the Foundation law (No. 4) of 2006,” Sherifi added.
