Maliki, Burns discuss enhancing bilateral relations between Iraq, US

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki and the US Deputy Secretary of State, William J. Burns, discussed “Enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between Iraq and the US in the light of the Strategic Framework Agreement concluded between them.”

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki received Burns and his accompanying delegation as both sides discussed the regional situation and especially the Syrian crisis.”

This visit is the third for the US officials to Iraq since the beginning of September.
